The four paratroopers above, Pfc. Ray Daudt, Pvt. Thomas, Pfc. Billy Sanchez and Sgt. Willie Beaty took this picture a few days before they were at the outpost in Grand Halleux on December 22nd 1944. Pfc Billy Sanchez and Sgt. Willie Beaty were killed in action. Pfc. Ray Daudt, Pvt. Thomas and Pfc Wilson Whicker(not in picture) escaped from the Germman SS troops attacking the outpost.
